v4 links are invalid now
Wed, 18 May 2022 15:58 (UTC)
Old links that have 'v4' in it (links that were created before mid-2020) are now invalid. The links will be redirected to a newer version. This might take some time to update all links and some links might become inaccessible. We had to do this because the 'mcrypt' encryption module was deprecated and removed with PHP 7.2.
New email address

Happy new year - 2022 roadmap
Sat, 8 Jan 2022 19:44 (UTC)
This year the self-hosted version got upgraded. You supported Spamty with donations in the amount of 20.77 €. There is room for more in this year. The costs for this website were 67.89 €. For 2022 I am focusing on development and improve the stability of the website.
Notice regarding abuse complaints: Spamty provides only email spam protection
Thu, 27 May 2021 08:28 (UTC)
Spamty is a webservice providing email spam protection to its users. We do not store any contact information of our users and we cannot provide any other contact options except the email address. I received multiple complaints where email addresses provided on Spamty where not valid or the owners did not reply to emails. There is nothing we can do about this. Regarding abuse complaints for specific pornografic websites Spamty already got in touch with Response Centre for Cyber Crimes. In urgent cases we recommend you to contact your local police or national cyber crime unit.
Happy new year - 2021 roadmap
Sun, 3 Jan 2021 14:15 (UTC)
2020 was great: I introduced the dark mode for the website and a self-hosted version of Spamty. You supported Spamty with donations in the amount of 36.55 €. The costs in this year were 67.89 €. For 2021 I am planning to improve the translations for the website and enhance the self-hosted version.
Dark mode available
Fri, 11 Dec 2020 21:26 (UTC)
Introducing the dark mode for the Spamty.eu website: if your browser supports 'prefers-color-scheme' and you set it up to use dark mode this website will be displayed in a dark color scheme. This is supported in the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and the desktop version of Firefox.
v2 and v3 links are invalid - data was deleted
Fri, 30 Oct 2020 20:18 (UTC)
Old links that have 'v2' or 'v3' in it (links that were created in 2014 and 2015) are now invalid. The data was deleted from our database. We had to do this because the 'mcrypt' encryption module was deprecated and removed with PHP 7.2.
v1 links are invalid now - data was deleted
Thu, 24 Sep 2020 20:23 (UTC)
Old links that have 'v1' in it (Spamty links that were created before 2014) are now invalid. The data was deleted from our database. We had to do this because the encryption algorithm that was used before 2014 for Spamty is considered insecure.
v2 and v3 links will become invalid soon
Mon, 7 Sep 2020 19:27 (UTC)
Spamty links that have 'v2' or 'v3' in it (links that were created in 2014 and 2015) will become invalid on 2020/10/30. This only concerns 131 users for v2 and 84 users for v3. The data will be deleted from our database and the links will not work anymore. This is because the 'mcrypt' encryption module was deprecated with PHP 7.1 (in late 2016) and was removed with PHP 7.2 (in late 2017).
New page to show donations and costs
Sat, 29 Aug 2020 14:26 (UTC)
I am more transparant by showing all received donations (via PayPal and crypto currencies) and the detailed costs for servers and domains.
Spamty.eu is a great alternative for reCAPTCHA Mailhide
Mon, 17 Aug 2020 12:52 (UTC)
The reCAPTCHA Mailhide service was discontinued by Google. Spamty offers a great alternative to this service. Even better: Spamty is GDPR compliant and encrypts all data. Spamty is also completely free and has a secure captcha.
v1 links will become invalid soon
Sat, 15 Aug 2020 15:59 (UTC)
Old links that have 'v1' in it (Spamty links that were created before 2014) will become invalid on 2020/09/24. This only concerns 54 users - with most of them being demo accounts. Please make sure to create a new Spamty link. All old data will be deleted on this date. We have to do this because the encryption algorithm that was used back then is considered insecure since a long time.
New feeds for Spamty
Tue, 11 Aug 2020 16:09 (UTC)
We now also provide an RSS feed, an atom feed and you can subscribe our twtxt.
Cloudbleed
Sun, 26 Feb 2017 07:04 (UTC)
There was a security problem with Cloudflare. We are pretty sure that no private data from Spamty.eu was leaked but for security reasons all API keys were renewed.

Sat, 13 Aug 2016 11:12 (UTC)
The Spamty website is now accessible via Tor (.onion domain). Get the Tor browser and safely browse the Internet. You can simply replace the spamty.eu domain in your links to our .onion domain to share your email address on the darknet.
HTTPS is available everywhere
Sat, 6 Feb 2016 13:12 (UTC)
We moved the complete site to a new server and added Let's Encrypt SSL certificates everywhere.

Fri, 21 Aug 2015 16:05 (UTC)
The first functions of the new API version 4 are online. You now have to authenticate with an additional username to your API key and the API requests are logged. Furthermore the API now uses HTTPS only.

Mon, 3 Aug 2015 17:51 (UTC)
I published the new API documentation for spamty.eu. Furthermore we introduced a new API method to shorten a link with a URL shortener.

Sat, 13 Jun 2015 12:41 (UTC)
We have updated our System to version 3. Spamty Links are now shorter. The API is not available yet.
Multilingual Spamty
Sun, 29 Mar 2015 17:32 (UTC)
I'm currently working on a multilingual website for spamty. The English version is nearly finished. Then I will start translating it into German. Please contact me if you could help translating the website into French, Spanish or any other language.
